  Compass use to be the best bank on the block, but just recently, it’s become the most horrible bank I’ve ever come across. I was a satisfied customer for 6 yrs just loving their service, when out of the blue, we started getting charged fees. 1st it was the paper billing fee (early on we turned our paper fees off, and it mysteriously turned back on. BUT, we still didn’t receive any statements in the mail that whole time!) Then our business account started getting fees for just existing. It had always been free. And worst, they started misleading us with their online site and mobile app. It is now set-up and tailored to milk any and all fees it can conjure up. Examples; (a) they would show we were opted out of the overdraft program, but still allow purchases to be made (b) when overdrafts are incurred, they would withhold this for days, allowing you to spend the money you think you have, then hit you with 4 or 5 fees at once, leaving you deeply in the red (c) they would manipulate the order of the transactions to benefit their fees. Finally, when I reached out to Customer Service about my grievances, they had a computer run me around for 10 minutes before I could talk to a person. This person, however, did nothing but chastise me for not having a lot of money and not anticipating what their computers will do. I will no longer bank with them, and spread this to all the people that I know, and to those that I don’t know. Run from this bank….
