Scandals and government bailouts is who Wells Fargo is. Just try a credit union or another banking institution and you will find that Wells Fargo is the a terrible place to bank comparatively. Slow and incompetent (poorly trained) loan officers, no follow up, and phone reps with bad attitudes at the corporate level. Tellers constantly try to upsell you and ask inappropriate personal business questions (as they view your account) in an attempt to build rapport, but fail miserably. They consistently have higher loan rates (COMPARE their rates - it's easy online) in my experience as well. Plus, their merchant service forces you into a contract. Other merchant service companies DO NOT force you into a multi year contract that PENALIZES YOU if you want to leave. Be aware and compare. I have had enough! YOU ARE WARNED!

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE I had a coworker take me here during my lunch break to take out cash and get a cashier's check. We waited in a very long drive through for about 10 minutes even though there were 4 lanes open. Maybe 2-3 cars had gone in front of us. As soon as we got to the window, the teller let me know that she was holding my items and I could come into the branch to complete my transaction. We asked how long the wait would be and she advised us, not long. We parked and headed in. I waited another 5 minutes, even there were 4 tellers working. By the time I got to the counter, I was frustrated because my boss had already texted me asking what was taking so long. I started to vent frustration to the Elke who cut me off to say "I don't work the drive through. I do not want to hear it. I do not care." I honestly cannot believe that someone in a customer service position spoke to me this way. I told her what I needed and then told her that she was being very rude. Elke replied that she thought I was the rude one. I asked for a manager. She collected my things from a teller next to her and then went to get Christina Mata, the manager. Christina instantly accused me of lying stating that Elke was her best teller and would not speak to a customer that way. When I tried to continue my argument, Christina cut me off and demanded to know what I wanted. I told her and Christina informed me that she could start my cashier's check while Elke pulled my cash withdraw. She informed that cashier checks cost $15. I told her that was too much and I am not interested. My last bank, in a different state, used to offer them to me for free after each transaction. I assumed it would be free or lower than $15. My mistake. Christina said fine and walked away to help another customer. Did not thank me for my time. Did not apologize once. Did not try to offer my a solution. Did not try to be kind of welcoming to me once so ever. I am not surprised that Elke is her best teller if this is how she leads by example. But wait - it gets worse. Elke insisted that I swipe my card and enter the final withdraw amount onto the card terminal facing me. I told her that I had written 3 different amounts on the slip i handed her, but had not totaled them. She looked me in the face and said that I needed to total it myself and she would not do it for me. I asked to speak to the manager again. Christina instantly walked up, claiming that she had over heard the entire conversation and that she heard nothing wrong with what and how the statement was delivered to me. She said it is bank policy that customers present their own totals. Elke did end of giving me the total, but honestly, I just about told them to take out the remainder of my bank account so that I could close it. The only reasons I have not closed my bank account yet is because of direct deposit from work. After my next check though, I will be closing this account and I will never use Wellsfargo again. I did email customer service and they seemed concerned with the content of my complaint. However, the damage is done. THIS LOCATION IS CHASING YOUR CUSTOMERS AWAY. Fire Christina and Elke.

Worst bank EVER!!! They take FOREVER, that CANNOT count money, and their employees are NOT friendly or professional AT ALL! If you have a deposit the total amount to be deposited must EXACTLY match the amount you have in hand if. So if you want change back you note that on a sticky note?? Seriously!! Exactly how is this remotely professional? Wouldn't a paper trail be what any legitimate corporation want!?!? But the real kicker is when they lost my son's driver license ... At time of deposit. The "resolution" was to go get another license and they reimburse him for his cost of replacement. Wouldn't have been so bad but the teller thought this was just ok and was laughing about this. And sadly, zero follow up with branch manager!!
